Removal Procedure

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

CAUTION:

Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  2. GM2771946

    Disconnect the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) rear pipe fitting (1) from the master cylinder.

  3. Plug the master cylinder outlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  4. GM2495345

    Disconnect the BPMV rear pipe fitting (1) from the BPMV.

  5. Plug the BPMV inlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  6. Remove the brake pipe from the vehicle.
