Installation Procedure
- Assemble the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Assemble .
Install the NEW exhaust manifold gasket (1).
- Install the turbocharger with exhaust manifold (2) and exhaust manifold heat shield.
- Loosely install the 9 Exhaust manifold bolts (3).

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Tighten the 9 exhaust manifold bolts (1) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft) in the sequence as shown.
- Connect the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve wiring harness plug.
Install the turbocharger brace (2).
- Install the 2 turbocharger brace bolts (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Install the turbocharger coolant return pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement .
- Install the turbocharger coolant feed pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Coolant Feed Pipe Replacement .
- Install the turbocharger oil return pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Oil Return Pipe Replacement .
- Install the turbocharger oil feed pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Oil Feed Pipe Replacement .
- Install the charge air bypass valve hose to the turbocharger. Refer to Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose Replacement .
Install the positive crankcase ventilation vacuum hose (4) to the turbocharger (2).
- Install the clamp (3) - turbocharger side.
Install the charge air cooler inlet hose (3) to the turbocharger (1).
- Clip in the charge air cooler inlet hose retainer clamp (2).
- Install the warm up three-way catalytic converter. Refer to Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement .
- Install the exhaust front pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement .
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
- Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
