Circuit/System Testing
NOTE:
Since most occurrences of this DTC are caused by excessive ABS, traction control, or stability control usage, review with the customer the conditions under which the DTC set.
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that DTC C0186, C0196, C0287, or C0710 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Ignition OFF, allow the hydraulic brake modulator valve to cool down to ambient temperature, ignition ON.
- Verify the DTC does not set while driving the vehicle under normal braking conditions.
- If the DTC sets
- Replace the Q5 Brake Pressure Modulator.
- Verify DTC C0280 does not set while driving the vehicle under normal braking conditions.
- If the DTC does set, replace the K17 Electronic Brake Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set.
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- All OK.
