Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Fill the transfer case to the bottom of the fill plug hole with the recommended fluid. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers , and Approximate Fluid Capacities 
  2. GM3937119
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    Install a NEW fill plug (1) and seal and tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  3. Install the power transfer unit heat shield to the transmission. Power Transfer Unit Heat Shield Replacement 
  4. Lower the vehicle.
