Removal Procedure

  1. GM2906841

    Record the front suspension measurement (p) at curb weight.

    Measurement (p) is the distance from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the front fender.

  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  3. GM2899459

    Front Lower Control Arm Ball Stud Nut(1) - Remove

  4. Front Lower Control Arm Ball Stud Bolt(2) - Remove
  5. GM4833694

    { If equipped }Front Suspension Support Vibration Dampener (2) - Remove - Front Suspension Support Vibration Dampener Replacement 

  6. GM2899460

    Front Lower Control Arm Front Nut(2) - Remove

  7. Front Lower Control Arm Front Bolt(1) - Remove

    DISCARD the bolt.

  8. GM2899463

    Front Lower Control Arm Rear Nut(1) - Remove

  9. Front Lower Control Arm Rear Bolt(2) - Remove

    DISCARD the bolt.

  10. Remove the front lower control arm (3)from the vehicle.
