Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) 
  2. Drive Belt - Remove Drive Belt Replacement
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  4. Front Compartment Front Center Insulator - Remove Front Compartment Front Center Insulator Replacement
  5. Front Wheel Drive Shaft-Right Side - Remove Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side (AWD)Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side (FWD)
  6. GM4169704

    Generator Terminal Protective Boot(1) - Remove

  7. Generator Nut(2) - Remove
  8. Battery Positive Cable(3) - Remove
  9. Electrical Connector(4) - Disconnect
  10. GM4169707

    Generator Bolt(1) - Remove[2X]

  11. Generator Mounting Nut(2) - Remove
  12. Generator Mounting Stud(3) - Remove
  13. Generator(4) - Remove
