1	Input Shaft Seal Protector Procedure Lubricate The ID And OD Areas Of The Seal Protectors With Gear Oil Prior To Use. NOTE: Input shaft seal protector tools are provided within the input shaft seals service kit. The seal protectors are designed to be used during input disconnect shaft installation and to protect the seal ID surfaces from damage. The larger / smaller OD seal protector is to be used on the case side.
2	Power Transfer Unit Idler Shaft NOTE: Use the rear output shaft hole to move the idler shaft.
3	Power Transfer Unit Cover Housing NOTE: The gear teeth to the input disconnect shaft go behind the bearing to the idler shaft.
4	Power Transfer Unit Cover Housing Bolt [14x] Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
