Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
1 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fastener (Qty: 4)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Inspect and clean the fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Rail and Injectors Cleaning and Inspection (LAF, LEA, or LUK)
  3. It is necessary to rebuild the fuel injectors. Refer to Fuel Injector Replacement .
