Installation Procedure

  1. Loosen the 2 three way catalytic converter brace bracket bolts (2).
  2. Install the three way catalytic converter (4) and a NEW gasket (5).
  3. Install the 2 three way catalytic converter brace bracket bolts (2) and loosely tighten.
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the 3 three way catalytic converter nuts (1) and tighten to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
  5. Tighten the 2 three way catalytic converter brace bracket bolts (2) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
  6. Tighten the 2 three way catalytic converter nuts (3) to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
  7. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement .
