Front Side Door Window Replacement

WARNING:

Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning .

WARNING:

Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

CAUTION:

Refer to Paint Damage Caution .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Apply masking tape to the outer applique and door frame.
  2. Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
  3. Front Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding Replacement 
1 Front Side Door Window Regulator Sash Retainer

Procedure

  1. Lower the front side window to gain access to the window regulator sash retainers.
  2. Using a suitable flat-bladed tool, release the window from the regulator sash retainer.
2 Front Side Door Window
Procedure 
  1. Carefully tilt and lift the window to remove it from the front side door.
  2. Window Motor Programming - Express Function 
NOTE:

Inspect the door window for proper operation before installing the door trim panel.
