Relay Controlled Power Mode

The BCM and keyless entry control module use discrete push button switch inputs, transmitter in range status, current power mode state, and brake pedal position state to distinguish the correct power mode (Off, Accessory Mode, Vehicle in Run/Start Mode). The BCM and keyless entry control module, after determining the desired power mode, will activate the appropriate devices for that power mode.

The retained accessory power relays remain on for a timed period after the Ignition is turned OFF. Refer to Retained Accessory Power Description and Operation  for more information on the retained accessory power function.
