Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K60 Steering Column Lock Module. Ignition ON.
- Test for less than B+ between the control circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If B+
Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than B+
- If B+
- Ignition OFF.
- Test for infinite resistance between the control circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
- Disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K84 Keyless Entry Control Module.
- Test for infinite resistance between the control circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance, replace the K84 Keyless Entry Control Module.
- If infinite resistance
- Disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K84 Keyless Entry Control Module.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the harness connector control circuit terminal 4 at the K60 Steering Column Lock Module end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω
- If 2 Ω or greater
- Replace the K60 Steering Column Lock Module.
