Installation Procedure
- Position the steering column (1) in the vehicle.
- Tighten the steering column lower fasteners before you tighten the steering column upper fasteners. Failure to do this can damage the steering column.
- Tighten the steering column fasteners to the specified torque. Overtightening the upper steering column fasteners could affect the steering column collapse.
- Steering Column Nut (1) - Install, but do NOT tighten
- Tighten the lower steering column nuts (1) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
- After the lower steering column nuts are tightened to specification, tighten the upper steering column nuts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
- Connect the steering column electrical connectors.

- Instrument Panel Knee Bolster - Install - Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement
- Steering Column Lower Trim Cover - Install - Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement
- Steering Column Upper Trim Cover - Install - Steering Column Upper Trim Cover Replacement
- Program the power steering control module. Control Module References
- Center the steering angle sensor. Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering
