Diagnostic Aids

- This diagnostic only applies to navigations system that use an SD card for storage of the map database.
- The purpose of this diagnostic is to determine the cause of the navigation system not operating or error messages related to accessing the map database SD card.
- If the vehicle concern is related to the auxiliary audio inputs only (auxiliary jack or USB), refer to Auxiliary Audio Input Malfunction (Without SD Card Reader) and Auxiliary Audio Input Malfunction (With SD Card Reader) .
- The navigation antenna requires a clear line of sight to the sky to operate properly. The GPS antenna may have limited, intermittent or no reception near tall buildings or inside structures.
- The map data provided with the vehicle is the most up to date information available when the vehicle was produced. The map data is updated periodically, provided that the map information has changed. If the navigation system is operating, but the concern is related to map content/accuracy, refer to the GM Nav Disc center website, www.gmnavdisc.com.
