Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel injection fuel feed pipe (3) to the fuel injection fuel rail (1) and to the fuel injection pump (6).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the 2 nuts (2, 5) and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
  3. Install the fuel injection fuel feed pipe bracket bolt (4) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  4. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement  - Install
  5. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
    6. WARNING:

    Fuel escapes- observe safety measures and national legislation. Failure to comply could result in personal injury.

    WARNING:

    Always wear safety goggles when working with fuel in order to protect the eyes from fuel splash.

    NOTE:

    Ensure that all work at the engine is finished.

  6. Perform a fuel injection system leak test.
    1. Start the engine.
    2. Check the fuel system for escaping fuel.
