Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery positive cable junction block terminal (6) to the battery positive pole.
  2. Install the battery positive plate (5).
  3. Install the starter fuse (3).
  4. Install the battery positive cable to starter cable (1) to the battery.
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Counterhold the battery positive cable junction block terminal with a suitable tool.

  5. Install the 2 battery positive plate nuts (4) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
  6. Install the battery positive cable to starter nut (2) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
  7. Tighten the battery positive cable junction block terminal nut to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).

  8. Close the battery fuse box cover (1) and lock the retaining tabs (2, 3).
  9. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
