Installation Procedure

Install the water pump sprocket (1) and install the 3 water pump sprocket bolts (2) handtighten.

Install the engine front cover (2) and the engine front cover bolts (1) handtighten. Use the old gasket (3).

Install the EN-44602 holding tool (1) to the water pump sprocket.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the water pump sprocket bolts (2) and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

Remove the EN-44602 holding tool (1) from the water pump sprocket.

Remove the engine front cover bolts (1) and the engine front cover (2) with the gasket (3).
Install the water pump and balance shaft chain. Refer to Water Pump and Balance Shaft Chain Replacement .
