Removal Procedure

  1. Loosen the charge air cooler inlet pipe - turbocharger. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Hose Replacement (Turbocharger) , Charge Air Cooler Inlet Hose Replacement (Charge Air Cooler) .
  2. Loosen the fuel feed pipe from the fuel pump. Refer to Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement - Engine .

  3. Remove the fuel pump cover nut (1) and the 2 fuel pump cover bolts (2).
  4. Unclip the wiring harness from the fuel pump cover (3).
  5. Remove the fuel pump cover (3).

  6. Remove the fuel pump insulator (1).
  7. Remove the fuel feed intermediate pipe. Refer to Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement .

  8. Remove 2 the fuel pump bolts (4).
  9. Remove the fuel pump (3) with the seal ring (2) and the gasket (1).

  10. Remove the valve lifter follower (1).
