Preliminary Procedure Remove the liftgate lower trim finish panel. Refer to Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Replacement .
1	Liftgate Outside Handle Bolt (Qty: 4) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 9 (80 lb in)
2	Theft Deterrent Cover Procedure Release the 2 top retainers on the theft deterrent cover. Remove the theft deterrent cover from the liftgate outside handle.
3	Liftgate Outside Handle Procedure Support the liftgate outside handle. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the liftgate outside handle.
