Preliminary Procedures Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Remove the radiator surge tank inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Replacement (LAF) Remove the radiator surge tank outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Replacement (LAF) or Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Replacement (LDK or LHU)
1	Radiator Surge Tank Retainer
2	Radiator Surge Tank Procedure: Slide the surge tank forward towards the front of the car to remove from brackets.

Procedure:
Slide the surge tank forward towards the front of the car to remove from brackets.
