Circuit/System Testing

Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the C3 telematics communication interface control module battery. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
Test for less than 10 Ω between the low reference circuit terminal B and ground.
- If 10 Ω or greater
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K73 telematics communication interface control module.
2. Test for less than 2 Ω in the low referencce circuit end to end.
  - If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
  - If less than 2 Ω, replace the K73 telematics communication interface control module.
- If less than 10 Ω

NOTE:

The following step features a component test of the C3 telematics communication interface control module battery. It measures the voltage level of the C3 telematics communication interface control module battery.

Test for 15.5 V or less between the battery positive voltage circuit terminal A and low reference terminal B.
- If greater than 15.5 V
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K73 telematics communication interface control module.
2. Test for infinite resistance between the battery positive voltage circuit and ground.
  - If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
  - If infinite resistance
3. Test for less than 2 Ω in the battery positive voltage circuit end to end.
  - If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
  - If less than 2 Ω, replace the K73 telematics communication interface control module.
- If 15.5 V or less
Test or replace the C3 telematics communication interface control module battery.
