Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .
1 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Use a new gasket.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Tighten:  20 N.m (15 lb ft)
