Installation Procedure

  1. If the upper air cleaner housing was replaced only perform the following steps, otherwise proceed to step 6.
  2. Install the MAF/IAT sensor.
  3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  4. Install the MAF/IAT sensor bolts and tighten to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  6. Install the air cleaner outlet duct (1) and tighten to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  8. Place the lower air cleaner housing over the studs and push down firmly in order to engage the grommets to the studs.

  10. Install the engine harness and PCM to the lower housing.

  12. Install the air cleaner upper housing.
  13. Engage the 3 integral clips (1) on the lower housing to the upper housing.

  15. Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the throttle body and tighten the clamp to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  17. Connect the PCV tube quick connect fitting (1) to the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  19. Connect the engine harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
