Generator Replacement (V6)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
  3. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
1 Bolt (Qty: 2)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  50 N.m (37 lb ft)
2 Generator

Procedure

  1. Reposition the generator output battery terminal protective boot.
  2. Remove the generator output battery terminal nut.

    Tighten:  13 N.m (115 lb in)

  3. Remove the generator output battery Cable from the generator.
  4. Disconnect the generator electrical connector.
