Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Remove the right front diagonal brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Front Fender Upper Diagonal .
  3. Loosen the positive battery terminal nut.
  4. Remove the positive battery terminal (1) from the battery.
  5. Remove the battery hold down.
    6. IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.
  6. Remove the battery.
  7. Remove the insulator from the battery.
