Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Express Window Down Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
  2. Remove the door control module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement - Front .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
  4. Remove the speaker assembly. Refer to Speaker Replacement - Front Lower in Entertainment.
  5. Remove the window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door .
  6. Disconnect the lock rod from the outside door handle.
  7. Disconnect the outside handle rod.
  8. Remove the 3 fasteners from the door latch assembly.

  9. Remove the 2 upper fasteners (1) from the module.
  10. Loosen the remaining fasteners (2).

  11. Remove the module assembly.

  12. Disconnect the inside door handle and lock rods from the door latch by releasing the retainers (1, 2).

  13. Lift the door latch off the retainer (1).
