Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cruise control module (1) to the bracket (2).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the module to the bracket bolts (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 7.5 N.m (66 in. lb.).

  5. Install the cruise control module (1) onto the studs on the cowl.
  6. Install the 2 nuts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bracket retaining nuts to 9 N.m (80 in. lb.).

  7. Connect the electrical connector to the module.

    IMPORTANT: Do not twist the ribbon when connecting the cable to the module.
    IMPORTANT: The cruise control cable does not require mechanical adjusting after the replacement. The cruise control module internally adjusts the cable. Refer to Cruise Control Description and Operation  for the complete operational details.
  9. Install the cruise control cable (1) to the module assembly connector (3).

  11. Install the cruise control cable housing connector to the engine bracket and throttle body.
