Removal Procedure

  1. If the seat is equipped with an air bag, refer to SIR Service Precautions in SIR.

    Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 in SIR.

  2. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat .

  3. Remove the track covers from the front seat adjuster. Refer to Seat Adjuster Track Cover Replacement - Front .
  4. Position the front seat forward to between the mid-forward position and the full forward position. Raise the seat to the full-up position.
  5. Remove the bolts which secure the front seat adjuster to the floor pan.

  6. Remove the nut from the seat belt anchor plate.
  7. Disconnect the front seat electrical connectors.
  8. Tip the seat forward to remove the seat from the front hook attachments.
  9. Remove the front seat from the vehicle.
