Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .

  3. Remove the upper radiator seal.
  4. Remove the upper tie bar. Refer to Tie Bar Replacement - Upper in Body Front End.

  6. Using the J 38185  , disconnect the coolant overflow hose from the radiator.
  7. Plug the coolant overflow hose.

  9. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses from the radiator using the J 38185  , and position the hoses aside.

  11. Remove the transaxle oil cooler pipe bracket bolt from the lower tie bar.
  12. Remove the cooling fans. Refer to Cooling Fan Replacement - Electric .

  14. Slide the plastic cap off the transaxle oil cooler pipe quick connect fittings.
  15. Disconnect the upper (1) and lower (2) transaxle oil cooler pipes from the radiator using the J 41623-B  . See Special Tools and Equipment .

  17. Remove the bolts.
  18. Separate the condenser from the radiator.
  19. Lift the radiator up and out of the vehicle.
