An overcharging condition may set this DTC. See appropriate GENERATORS & REGULATORS article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS. Thoroughly inspect any circuitry that is suspected of causing an intermittent complaint. See INTERMITTENT CONDITIONS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
