DTC P1134: Ho2S Transition Time Ratio - Bank 1, Sensor 1: Description

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) continuously monitors Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) activity. PCM counts number of times HO2S responds by switching from a rich state to a lean state. Next, PCM adds amount of time HO2S took to complete all transitions during 100-second test period. With this information, an average time for all transitions can be determined. PCM then divides rich-to-lean average by lean-to-rich average in order to obtain a ratio. DTC sets when HO2S transition time ratio is not within range. Setting of this DTC indicates oxygen sensor is not responding as expected, to changes in exhaust oxygen content.
