Park Lock Cable
NOTE:
Lock cylinder must be in RUN position when park lock cable is removed from or inserted into ignition switch inhibitor.
Place gearshift lever in the PARK position. Turn ignition to OFF-LOCK position. Remove steering column trim covers. Unlock adjuster ring on park lock cable assembly with Adjuster Ring Lock Pliers (J-41396). See Fig 1 . Pull on cable until park lock latch contacts gearshift lever. Release cable. Lock adjuster ring securely in place on park lock cable assembly with adjuster ring lock pliers. Test system operation. If okay, reassemble trim covers. If not, repeat adjustment procedure.
