Memory Systems: Description
The memory system allows the driver's seat and rear view mirrors to be positioned in preset memory positions. When MEMORY 1 or MEMORY 2 buttons are depressed driver's seat and rear view mirrors moved to preset memory positions, or moved to preset exit positions by depressing EXIT button. Memory Seat Module (MSM) receives manual seat operation inputs from MEMORY 1, MEMORY 2 and EXIT buttons. MSM then supplies voltage to appropriate seat motors. The MSM controls movement of 3 seat position motors. All motors have a position sensor, and work independently of each other. For more information about power seat system, see POWER SEATS - PARK AVENUE .
Power mirrors can be set for each driver. Left Front Door Control Module (LFDCM) controls movement of 2 left mirror motors and Right Front Door Control Module (RFDCM) controls 2 right mirror motors based on message received over Simple Bus Interface (SBI) from Left Front Power Window Switch (LFPWS) and power mirror switch. All motors have a position sensor, and work independently of each other. Right mirror is equipped with parallel parking mode operation. When vehicle is shifted into Reverse, right mirror will move down approximately 7 degrees to enable driver to see curb area better during parking. For more information about power mirrors, see POWER MIRRORS - PARK AVENUE .
