Charge Indicator Light Always On

  1. Connect scan tool. Start engine. Using scan tool, observe BATTERY VOLTAGE parameter in Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) data list. If voltage is 10-15 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not 10-15 volts, see CHARGING SYSTEM FUNCTIONAL TEST  .
  2. Using scan tool, observe BATTERY SAVE ACTIVE parameter in Dash Integration Module (DIM). If scan tool indicates battery save function is not active, go to next step. If scan tool indicates battery save function is active, see CHARGING SYSTEM FUNCTIONAL TEST  .
  3. Replace IPC. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
