Test B: Memory Recall Position Inaccurate

  1. Make sure all harness connectors are connected to door module controlling mirror except mirror harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage at sensor supply pin on door module. See WIRING DIAGRAMS in appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article. If voltage is 4.75-5.00 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not 4.75-5.00 volts, replace door module. See DOOR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between sensor supply pin and sensor signal pin on door module. Using scan tool, read sensor voltage in DDM data list. If voltage is 4.75-5.00 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not 4.75-5.00 volts, replace door module. See DOOR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. Connect fused jumper between sensor return and sensor signal pins at door module. Using scan tool, read sensor voltage in DDM data list. If voltage is 0-0.5 volt, go to next step. If voltage is not 0-0.5 volt, replace door module. See DOOR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. Check connectors and wiring to door module and mirror. If problem is found, repair and retest system. If wiring and connectors are good, replace power mirror. See POWER MIRROR ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
