Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Buick LeSabre. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Position the sunroof module assembly into the roof opening.
- Ensure not to pinch the coaxial cable to the antenna module located at the left rear side of the inner roof panel.
- Hand start the 2 center sunroof module assembly bolts (1) into the roof in order to hold the sunroof module assembly into position.
- Use the J 44363
in order to align the sunroof module assembly to the sunroof opening. See Special Tools . Install and hold the alignment pins through the sunroof module holes (2) into the roof alignment holes.
Tighten: Tighten all of the sunroof module bolts (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Remove the alignment pins.
- Install the drain hoses to the drain spouts on the sunroof module.
Secure the drain hoses to the sunroof module with new tie wraps.
- Connect the electrical harness to the sunroof module assembly.
- Install the sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Panel Replacement .
- Install the sunroof window and loosely install the screws. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
- Adjust the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment .
- Install the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement (With Sunroof) or Headliner Replacement (Without Sunroof) .
NOTE:

IMPORTANT:
When installing the new drain hose tie wraps, position the tie wraps to maintain clearance between the tie wraps and the headliner.
IMPORTANT:
Verify the proper operation of the sunroof before installing the headliner.
