Power Roof Diagnostic System Check

  1. Attempt to enter Body Control Module (BCM) self-diagnostic mode, by using SECURITY indicator. See RETRIEVING BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . If BCM self-diagnostic mode can be entered and DTCs are retrieved, go to next step. If BCM self-diagnostic mode cannot be entered and DTCs are not retrieved, perform TEST C: CANNOT ENTER BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTICS  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. If DTCs 12 and 55 are retrieved, go to next step. If DTCs 12 and 55 are not retrieved, perform TEST C: CANNOT ENTER BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTICS  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  3. If DTCs 25 and 35 are not retrieved, go to next step. If DTCs 25 and 35 are retrieved, repair anti-theft system. See ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article.
  4. If DTC 35 is not retrieved with DTC 25, go to next step. If DTC 35 is retrieved with DTC 25, repair anti-theft system as necessary. See ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article.
  5. If any other DTCs are retrieved, perform appropriate test in accordance with DTC retrieved. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . If nor DTCs are retrieved, repair power convertible top by symptom. See POWER CONVERTIBLE TOPS - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article.
