Electronic Brake Control Module/Electronic Brake & Traction Control Module (EBCM/EBTCM) & Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) Assembly: Removal

  1. BPMV and EBCM/EBTCM assembly is located on left side of engine compartment. EBCM/EBTCM and BPMV are individual units that are connected. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect EBCM/EBTCM electrical connector ensuring connector tab is released by pushing down lock tab and slide connector cover. Disconnect BPMV pump motor ground cable. Label brakelines for installation reference and remove brakelines from BPMV.
  3. Remove EBCM/EBTCM and BPMV assembly from vehicle by removing four bolts from under assembly. Separate EBCM/EBTCM from BPMV by gently pulling forward. DO NOT pry EBCM/EBTCM, BPMV assembly.
  4. Remove four screws that attach EBCM/EBTCM to BPMV assembly. Separate EBCM/EBTCM from BPMV by gently pulling apart. DO NOT pry EBCM/EBTCM from BPMV assembly.
  5. If seal is damaged, it must be replaced.
