Preliminary Checks

  1. Check IGN 1 fuse (10-amp) and TMNSS fuse (15-amp) in instrument panel fuse block. Check I/P 1 fuse (10-amp) in right rear power junction block. Check PWR ST circuit breaker (25-amp) in right rear junction block. Ensure ground connections are clean and tight. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment.
  2. If memory seat/memory mirror module will not enter self-diagnostics, ensure memory seat diagnostic connector is properly grounded. Check for open in Yellow/Black wire between memory seat/mirror module and memory seat/mirror diagnostic connector. Check for poor connections. If connections and circuits are okay, replace memory seat/mirror module.
  3. If parallel parking mode is inoperative and memory recall functions when gearshift lever is out of Park, check for open or short to ground in Brown wire between memory seat/mirror and outside right rear view mirror. If circuit is okay, replace PNP switch.
  4. If seat motor internal circuit breaker is tripped, remove voltage from motor to reset. Check for broken or partially broken wire inside of insulation, which could cause system malfunction but prove good in a continuity/voltage check with system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded.
