Preliminary Inspection
- Check rear junction block MEM/RFA fuse (10-amp) located under rear passenger seat. If fuse is open, locate and repair short in Orange wire circuit. Replace fuse. Check underhood junction block SBM LCM fuse (10-amp) located in engine compartment, near battery. If fuse is open, locate and repair short in Pink wire circuit. Replace fuse. Check I/P junction block WSW/RFA fuse (10-amp), located under right side I/P, near rear of glove box. If fuse is open, locate and repair short in Yellow wire circuit. Replace fuse.
- Check all related wiring harnesses and connectors. Check for poor ground connection at ground connector located under rear passenger seat on left side of vehicle.
- Check for proper operation and installation of aftermarket equipment, which may affect other systems.
- Perform functional test of door locks, power door lock switches, Retained Accessory Power (RAP), trunk lid operation, theft deterrent and interior lamp illumination systems. If problems exist in any of these systems, repair as necessary.
- Turn ignition off and install scan tester. Using scan tester, select DDM DTCs. If any DTCs are present, service as necessary before proceeding. If no DTCs are present, proceed to appropriate test. See SYMPTOM TEST DIRECTORY table.
