Memory Functions

Left front power window switch monitors 3 memory switches: MEMORY 1, MEMORY 2 and EXIT. Current seat and mirror positions can be stored by holding down any memory switch for 3 or more seconds, followed by a chime to acknowledge input. When gearshift is in Park, all memorized positions can be recalled by momentarily pressing any memory switch. Left front power window switch sends information to Driver Door Module (DDM) using Simple Bus Interface (SBI) messages. The DDM then sends a class 2 message to MSM, which will move seat and mirrors to memorized position.

Memory recall can also be performed when a remote keyless entry transmitter is used to unlock vehicle. Each keyless entry transmitter has its own transmission code to identity driver. With ignition off, memory record, memory recall personalization recall and exit recall will function. With ignition switch in RUN position and gear selector in Park, only personalized recall function is deactivated. With ignition switch in RUN position and gear selector out of Park, only memory record function will operate.
