DTC U1255: Class 2 Initialization Error: Description

During normal vehicle operation, each module communicating on class 2 serial data line sends a State Of Health (SOH) message every 2 seconds to ensure system is operating properly.

DTC U1255 will set if voltage supply to SBM is in normal operating range (about 9-16 volts) and no class 2 messages are detected on class 2 serial data link. No driver warning message will be displayed. A current DTC U1255 can be cleared when a valid class 2 message is detected on data link or at end of current ignition cycle. A history DTC U1255 can be cleared using scan tool.
