DTC B2802: RFA Link Circuit (Short To Ground): Description
When any button on keyless entry transmitter is pressed, a radio frequency signal is sent to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). RCDLR then decides which message to send the BCM (according to which button was pressed), which will allow BCM to operate door lock actuators, courtesy lights or remote alarm.
DTC B2802 will set when BCM detects a short to ground in circuit No. 917 (Black wire) for more than 0.3 second. No driver warning message will be displayed.
If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles. DTC B2802 will also clear when conditions for malfunction no longer exist or scan tool is used to clear codes.
NOTE:
When ignition switch is turned to RUN position with BCM disconnected, PCM-related DTC P1626 will be set. After BCM repair is completed, see appropriate TESTS W/CODES
