Digital Speedometer Does Not Display In Km/Hr

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and 1997 Chevrolet Lumina. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove ENGLISH/METRIC fuse No. 25 (5-amp) from fuse block, located in instrument panel end on passenger side. Turn ignition on. Connect 5-amp fused jumper wire between instrument panel fuse block terminal G6 (Light Blue wire) and ground. If speedometer now displays correctly, check fuse No. 25 (5-amp) for an open.
  2. If fuse is okay, check Black ground wire of digital readout display connector for open circuit. See Figure. If speedometer still does not display correctly, check Light Blue wire of digital readout display connector for open circuit or poor connection. If wire is okay, replace instrument cluster.
