DTC U1300, Class 2 Short To Ground: Notes

When ignition is turned on, each module communicating on class 2 serial data line sends a State Of Health (SOH) message every 5 seconds to ensure system is operating properly. DTC U1300 will set only if DTC B1982 or B1983 is not current. DTC U1300 will set if BCM detects class 2 bus is shorted to ground for at least 3 seconds. DTC will not be received as a current code, as class 2 bus will not function during this condition. DTC U1300 will clear when BCM detects that class 2 bus is not shorted to ground.
