Rear Height Up/Down Function Does Not Operate
- If diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If diagnostic system check was not performed, go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, select memory seat module inputs. Move rear height switch up. If scan tool indicates switch action, go to next step. If scan tool does not indicate switch action, go to step 6).
- With memory seat module inputs still selected, move rear height switch down. If scan tool indicates switch action, go to next step. If scan tool does not indicate switch action, go to step 6).
- Disconnect rear height motor connector. Connect unpowered test light between rear height motor harness connector terminal "A" (Yellow wire) and ground. Move rear height switch up. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 8).
- Connect unpowered test light between rear height motor harness connector terminal "B" (Light Blue wire) and ground. Move rear height switch down. If test light illuminates, go to step 7). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 9).
- Replace left seat switch. Recheck system operation.
- Replace rear height motor. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in POWER SEATS article. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Repair open in Yellow wire between rear height motor and MSM. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Repair open in Light Blue wire between rear height motor and MSM. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
