Rear Suspension: Description

On Cutlass Supreme, Grand Prix and Regal, a composite fiberglass mono-leaf transverse spring bears weight of vehicle. See Figure . On Lumina, Monte Carlo and Century, coil springs bear vehicle weight. See Figure . Struts (attached to body at top and a knuckle at bottom) dampen suspension movement. Knuckle is secured to frame and crossmember support by trailing links and front and rear lateral links. Cutlass Supreme and Regal are equipped with auxiliary spring assemblies. See Figure . Rear wheel camber is adjusted at strut lower mounting bolts. Rear wheel toe is adjusted at cam on inner end of each rear lateral link.
