(Grand Prix)

  1. If the left mirror is inoperative, go to next step. If right mirror is inoperative, go to step 4).
  2. Disconnect left mirror connector. Connect test light between left mirror harness connector terminal "A" (White wire) and ground. With left mirror selected, move power mirror switch to right position. If test light illuminates, go to step 5). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Check for poor connection or open in White wire between power mirror switch and left mirror. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  4. Disconnect right mirror connector. Connect test light between right mirror harness connector terminal "A" (Red/White wire) and ground. With right mirror selected, move power mirror switch to right position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 6).
  5. Replace power mirror motor pack. See POWER MIRROR DRIVE MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  6. Check for poor connection or open in Red/White wire between power mirror switch and right mirror. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
