DTC B2802, RFA Link Circuit (Short To Ground): Notes
When any button on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter is pressed, a radio frequency signal is sent to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). RCDLR then decides which message to send the BCM (according to which button was pressed), which will allow BCM to determine what function to perform.
DTC B2802 will set when BCM detects a short to ground in circuit No. 917 (Black wire) for more than 0.3 second. No driver warning message will be displayed.
If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles. DTC B2802 will also clear when conditions for malfunction no longer exist or scan tool is used to clear codes.
NOTE:
If DTC B2802 is a history code, problem may be intermittent. Wiggle wires while performing the following test.
NOTE:
When ignition switch is turned to RUN position with BCM disconnected, PCM related DTC P1626 will be set. After BCM repair is completed, see appropriate TESTS W/CODES
article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. Refer to menu below.
