DTC B2457, Theater Dimming No. 2 Circuit (Short To Ground Or Open): Notes
On theater dimming No. 2 circuit, BCM supplies ground for both roof rail courtesy/reading lights and dome light. Outputs turn courtesy lights off by fading out.
DTC B2457 will set when BCM detects a short to ground or open in circuit No. 157 (Gray wire) for more than 0.15 second. DTC B2457 will also set if BCM detects an open in circuit No. 1732 (Orange wire). No driver warning message will be displayed.
If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles. DTC B2457 will also clear when conditions no longer exist or scan tool is used to clear codes.
NOTE:
If DTC B2457 is a history code, problem may be intermittent. Wiggle wires while performing the following test.
